General Admission Policy:  The Owner warrants that any known health or behavioural issues concerning the dog have been fully disclosed to GREENACRE KENNELS prior to commencement of boarding and that, except as so disclosed, the dog/cat is sound and healthy.

If during boarding the dog demonstrates aggressive behaviour such that the Proprietor is reasonably of the view that the dog represents a threat to the Proprietor’s staff or other dogs, the Proprietor may require the Owner to remove the dog from the premises immediately and will contact the Owner and/or nominated emergency contact to arrange this

GREENACRE KENNELS reserve the right to refuse any animal and no reason shall be given. 

Drop off and Collection: Unless otherwise agreed, all dogs must be dropped off and collected during the standard kennel opening hours (as advised by the Proprietor) on the dates contracted.
The owner agrees and understands that if they board their pet(s) for longer than originally contracted, they will contact GREENACRE KENNELS to make arrangements. Owner accepts that normal daily charges will apply for any additional days boarding. 

The owner acknowledges and accepts that if they board their pet(s) for a shorter time than contracted, any discounts may be rescinded, and normal daily tariffs will apply. GREENACRE KENNELS may further require payment for the entire contracted boarding period.  

Payment: The owner agrees to pay the rate for boarding in effect on the date pet is checked into the kennel, and further agrees to pay for all costs and charges for any special services requested, and all veterinary costs incurred by the pet during the time pet is in the care of kennel.

Minimum charge is two (2) calendar days. Boarding rates are charged on a calendar day basis irrespective of the time of  admission or departure and does not include bathing, grooming or additional services.

If animals are boarded for more than 4 weeks, a minimum 50% of boarding fees must be paid in advance. Long term discount only applies when 100% of boarding fee is paid upfront.

Payments can be made by direct transfer (bank transfer) or cash only (preferred).
Credit Card payment is available and will attract a fee of 1.6% of the total boarding cost.

Vaccination and Parasite Control: All dogs must be a minimum of 4 months of age and have completed all scheduled puppy vaccinations.

The dog will not be accepted for boarding unless the Owner provides proof that the dog’s vaccination programme is up to date and to C3 level or higher. Vaccinations are required to be given no less than 14 days prior to commencement of boarding period
The dog/cat must also have been given parasite prevention treatment/s that will remain effective for the duration of boarding. Such treatment must cover fleas, ticks, worms and any other parasites as reasonably required by the Proprietor.

Veterinary Treatment:  If pet becomes ill or if the state of the pet’s health requires professional attention, the Kennel, in its sole discretion, may engage the services of a veterinarian or administer medicine, or a special diet, or give other requisite attention to the pet and the expenses (including transport if required) will be paid by the owner. 

The decision to obtain veterinary treatment and choice of treating veterinarian is entirely at the discretion of the Proprietor. If the Owner cannot be contacted and/or in the event of emergency all decisions regarding treatment of the dog/cat are at the Proprietor’s absolute discretion based upon veterinary advice and the Proprietor shall have no responsibility in relation to the outcome or costs of such treatment.

All veterinary costs incurred by the Proprietor and the Proprietor’s reasonable costs of transport to the treating veterinarian must be reimbursed in full on collection of the dog/cat.

Responsibility:  The owner agrees to be solely responsible for any and all acts or behaviour of the pet while it is in GREENACRE KENNELS' care. The owner will pay to GREENACRE KENNELS all expenses of and for any liability incurred by GREENACRE KENNELS by reason of the animal’s nature, temperament, behavior or actions while the animal is in our care including any cost, loss and expense arising out of financial liability resulting from the behavior of the animal.

Warranty and Indemnity: The Owner warrants that all information provided by the Owner to the Proprietor in relation to the dog is true and correct. The Owner indemnifies the Proprietor against any loss, damage, claim, expense, cost (including legal costs) or liability that the Proprietor suffers or incurs as a result of (a) any information provided by the Owner to the Proprietor being incorrect or untrue, (b) any breach of this Agreement by the Owner, and (c) the personal injury or death of any person, or damage to or destruction of any property, caused or contributed to by the Owner’s dog.

The owner releases GREENACRE KENNELS and its employees or agents from all liability for injury, death, loss or damage of any kind whatsoever that may occur to any animal in the care of or staying at this boarding facility including injury, death, loss or damage while under the supervision of GREENACRE KENNELS its staff, agents or subcontractors.

Default: The owner specifically represents that he or she is the sole owner of the animal, free and clear of all liens and encumbrances. The Owner grants to the Proprietor a lien over the Owner’s dog as security for payment of any amounts owning under this Agreement. If the Owner defaults in payment of any amounts due under this Agreement, the Proprietor shall, without prejudice to the Proprietor’s other rights, be entitled to retain possession of the dog and if the default continues for a period of one (1) month, to sell the dog and apply the proceeds of sale towards payment of the amounts due.
